Formed by Simon Marlin and Max Reich, The Shapeshifters made a powerful debut in 2004 with the global hit “Lola’s Theme,” a chart-topping record that helped shape the sound of modern house music. They followed with the Top 10 single “Back to Basics” (2005) and their acclaimed album “Sound Advice” (2006), establishing their signature blend of disco-infused house.

After joining Defected Records in 2008, the duo delivered standout releases such as “Treadstone” and their celebrated rework of Orbital’s “Chime.” The 2008 re-edit of “Lola’s Theme,” which dominated Beatport for seven consecutive weeks, further cemented their place among the genre’s most influential artists.

As The Shapeshifters evolved into Simon Marlin’s solo project, he continued to push the sound forward with modern anthems like “Try My Love” (2018) and “Finally Ready” (2020). Their 2022 album “Let Loose,” amassing over 16 million streams, reaffirmed the project’s enduring global appeal.

Having previously delivered an unforgettable performance that left a lasting impression on audiences, The Shapeshifters now returns to Armania Phuket on December 26, 2025, bringing his uplifting, soulful house energy back to the island for another standout night.
